You’ve likely noticed a new addition to the Toronto skyline: The 47-storey TD Terrace, located at the corner of Front Street West and Simcoe Street.

Inside the Bank's latest office space is a ground-level, state-of-the-art TD branch. Opened in June this year, the branch brings innovation to life. It features cutting-edge technology such as large-scale screens featuring the latest TD news and floor-to-ceiling digital art, a flexible meeting space with moveable furniture to suit a variety of uses, and an interactive display featuring some of the artifacts in the TD Art & Corporate Heritage Collections.

The branch is on the site of the former R. Simpson Warehouse, the building that housed the mail-order catalogue operations of the department store Simpsons in 1905, which was later purchased by the Hudson’s Bay Company. Architects of TD Terrace preserved aspects of the existing heritage building such as the historic brick facade.

“This branch represents the Bank’s past, present and future,” said TD Terrace branch manager Chen Chen. “The space goes above and beyond a traditional branch and presents huge opportunities for colleagues and customers across the Bank and the community to collaborate.”

We toured the new TD branch and spoke to Chen about the details of the space. Here’s a look inside:
