TD Canada Trust announces even more convenient banking hours at branches across Canada TORONTO, June 6 /CNW/ - TD Canada Trust today announced that it is increasing its branch hours across the country. Beginning November 1, 2007, more than 800 TD Canada Trust branches will be open Monday to Saturday at 8:00 am, serving customers at least 62 hours a week, including 8:00am to 4:00 pm every Saturday. TD Canada Trust, with its promise of being, "open earlier, open later, open longer," already has the longest open hours of any bank in the country. "We've had the longest branch hours of any bank in Canada since TD and Canada Trust came together in 2001," says Tim Hockey, Group Head Personal Banking, Co-Chair Td Canada Trust. "Longer hours have been a very popular feature of the service we offer to customers. In fact, we talk to 8,000 customers a week and they tell us the convenience of longer hours is one of the things they like the most about us. We try to give our customers more of what they love, so we decided to make our service even more convenient for them." A recent poll conducted among Canadians from all regions of the country showed that 97% prized convenient hours of operation. TDCT's own research shows that, along with good service and choice, convenience is the main attribute customers look for in a bank. "Longer hours just make sense for our customers. It's one of the many choices we offer, along with 24/7 online banking, Green Machines, telephone banking and a large network of conveniently located branches. Our customers visit their branches for many different reasons, including financial planning, home or line of credit purchases, and small business advice. And with today's hectic lifestyles and busy schedules, they really appreciate the flexibility of extended hours," adds Hockey. Starting November 1, 2007, at least 800 TD Canada Trust branches will serve customers 62 hours a week or more and be open at 8:00 am Monday to Saturday and 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Thursdays and Fridays. Additionally, more than 900 branches will now be open every Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Having even longer hours also means TD will be hiring hundreds of people across the country, creating job opportunities in many communities. Recognized for superior customer service by Synovate and J.D. Power, TD Canada Trust serves approximately 10 million personal, small business and commercial banking customers across Canada through an expanding network of more than a thousand conveniently located branches and 2500 Green Machine ABMs, over the telephone with EasyLine, and online through the award-winning EasyWeb.
