Fourth new branch opened in Atlantic Canada in the last year
DARTMOUTH, NS, Aug. 25 /CNW/ - As part of its commitment to building a
strong presence in Canada's many diverse and growing communities, TD Canada
Trust today announced the grand opening of its branch located in the Halifax
Regional Municipality at 90 Gale Terrace in Dartmouth Crossing. The new branch
offers a full array of personal and small business products and services as
well as one full-time Financial Advisor, three Financial Services
Representatives and on-site access to a professional TD Waterhouse Financial
Planner dedicated to helping customers meet their financial goals.
"For the past 80 years, the Dartmouth Crossing site was used as a quarry,
asphalt plant and demolition dump - we're thrilled to be a part of this
development of modern retail and office parks that includes refurbished
waterways and walking trails," said Shane Kennedy, Branch Manager. "This is an
exciting time to be in this area as the Halifax Regional Municipality is home
to the largest population in Atlantic Canada and experts predict that there
will be a strong population growth over the next few years."
The new 4,600 square foot branch has been designed and built taking into
consideration the accessibility needs of our customers and features one
full-service Green Machine ABM and one Drive Thru Green Machine ABM, which are
available 24 hours per day.
At 1:00 pm today, Peter J. Kelly, Mayor of the Halifax Regional
Municipality; Lisa Driscoll, Regional Senior Vice President, Atlantic Region,
TD Canada Trust; and Tom Wheeler, District Vice President, Metro Halifax and
South West Nova Scotia, TD Canada Trust will be on hand to celebrate the grand
opening of the branch as well as Branch Manager Shane Kennedy and his team.
In addition, Shane Kennedy will present a donation of $1,500, on behalf
of TD Canada Trust to the Dartmouth Special Olympics, a non-profit
organization that supports sport training and competitive opportunities for
athletes with a disability in the Dartmouth region.
Branch hours are from Monday to Wednesday, 8am-6pm, Thursday to Friday,
8am-8pm and Saturday, 9am-3pm.
