TORONTO, Feb. 6 /CNW/ - TD Asset Management Inc. (TDAM), the manager of TD Mutual Funds, today announced plans to terminate the operations of three mutual funds. Effective February 6, 2008, the Funds will cease offering units for purchase and will be terminated on or about April 11, 2008. The decision to terminate the Funds is due to a low number of unitholders and the associated costs of maintaining smaller funds. The Funds that will be terminated are: TD U.S. Blue Chip Equity Currency Neutral Fund TD U.S. Mid-Cap Growth Currency Neutral Fund TD U.S. Small-Cap Equity Currency Neutral Fund Unitholders may redeem or switch their holdings in the Funds for settlement on or prior to the termination date. As at April 11, 2008, TDAM will liquidate the holdings of the terminating Funds at fair market value, determine distributions and distribute the net assets to unitholders. Unitholders will not be required to pay any redemption fees, sales charges or other fees associated with the termination of the Funds. All costs associated with the termination of the Funds will be borne by TDAM. Unitholders are encouraged to speak with their financial advisor to discuss their investment options.
