- TD Friends of the Environment Foundation donates $5,000 to local conservation efforts WINDSOR, ON, May 23 /CNW/ - TD Canada Trust today announced the grand opening of its latest new branch in Windsor, the second in just over a week. Today's festivities included a $5,000 donation to the Canadian Peregrine Foundation, a raffle for two mountain bikes worth over $850 combined and TD Friends of the Environment Foundation reusable bags were given to the first 50 branch customers. "We really are committed to Windsor and our customers and this second new branch in just over a week is proof of this," says Michelle Rennie, Branch Manager. "Now with 14 locations throughout the city, our even longer hours of operations and our award-winning customer service, we're bringing a whole new meaning to convenient banking." At 2:00 p.m. today, Jim Copeland, District Vice President, Western Ontario Region, TD Canada Trust was on hand today with Michelle Rennie, Branch Manager for the celebration and ribbon cutting. Marion Nash from the Canadian Peregrine Foundation was presented with a $5,000 cheque that will be used towards the Project School Visit program. "TD Friends of the Environment Foundation has always been a strong supporter of the Canadian Peregrine Foundation and with this generous gift we'll be able to visit even more schools in Windsor," says Ms. Nash. "With the Project School Visit program, we give students the opportunity to see these endangered species close up, learn how important the birds are to our environment and how their survival is dependant on how we care for our environment," Customers, employees and friends of the bank enjoyed a special display of live Peregrine Falcons and kids' activities. The new location offers an array of personal and small business products and services, Financial Advisors and Financial Services Representatives dedicated to helping customers meet their financial goals and a full-service Green Machine ABM and Drive Thru Green Machine ABM, available 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Designed in consideration of customers' accessibility needs, the new 5,500 square foot branch features the TD Canada Trust longer hours and is open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
