Enhancement Society to help celebrate the grand opening.
QUALICUM BEACH, BC, Sept. 20 /CNW/ - As part of its commitment to
building a strong presence in Canada's many diverse and growing communities,
TD Canada Trust today announced the grand opening of its new location in
Qualicum Beach at No. 101 - 222 2nd Avenue West. As part of its support for
grassroots environmental projects, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation
donated $4,000 to the Nature Trust of British Columbia and $1,000 to the
Mid-Vancouver Island Habitat Enhancement Society. Festivities also included
the kickoff for a draw for two premium bicycles and TD Friends of the
Environment Foundation reusable bags were given to the first 50 customers.
"We're thrilled to be bringing our award-winning customer service and
famous longer hours to the residents of Qualicum Beach for the first time,"
said York Langerfeld, Branch Manager. "Our commitment to ensure Canadian
operations are carbon neutral in 2010, our support of local environmental
projects through the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation and, not to
mention, the fact that our network of Green Machines are run on renewable
electricity will help us fit in with our eco-conscious neighbours."
At 11:45 a.m. today, Raymond Chun, Senior Vice President, Pacific Region,
TD Canada Trust, Andrew MacKillop, District Vice President, Vancouver Island
District, TD Canada Trust and York Langerfeld were on hand to celebrate the
grand opening and ribbon cutting. Attendees also enjoyed refreshments while
children took part in fun activities.
The new location offers a full array of personal and small business
products and services as well as two full-time Financial Advisors and two
Financial Services Representatives. This new branch is dedicated to helping
customers reach their financial goals while providing a comfortable
experience.
As part of TD Canada Trust's extended hours, branch hours are 8:00 a.m.
to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Wednesday; 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday and
Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The new 6,300 square foot
branch is wheelchair accessible and features one full-service Green Machine
ABM which is available 24 hours per day.
