Prestigious High School Scholarship Program Turns 15
TORONTO, April 26 /CNW/ - They've shipped literacy materials to impoverished countries, developed local anti-discrimination groups and raised funds for victims of genocide - and most of them have yet to celebrate their 19th birthday.
On April 29, 20 of Canada's best and brightest youth will receive the TD Scholarship for Community Leadership for the positive impact they've made on the world around them. Now celebrating its 15th anniversary, the up to $70,000 scholarship covers post-secondary tuition and living expenses and includes summer employment for the next four years.
Where are they now? Since 1995, past alumni of the TD Scholarship for Community Leadership have been making a positive impact on individuals in Canada and across the globe. Former recipients include:
