MONTREAL, June 7 /CNW Telbec/ - Outdoor fans of the Montreal International Jazz Festival (June 25 to July 6) can look forward to some added enjoyment thanks to innovative steps taken by TD.

"We're extending our trademark level of 'comfortable' service to festival-goers," said Bernard Dorval, Group Head, Insurance and Global Development, TD Bank Financial Group. "This will highlight our first year as the new presenting sponsor of the Montreal International Jazz Festival and is another great way to celebrate TD's 150th anniversary in Quebec!"

TD Comfort Place

New this year - and attractively located in a city garden close to Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts - TD Comfort Place will serve up an oasis of greenery, beverages and relaxed seating.

Friends of the Festival Tent

TD's iconic green chairs - instantly familiar to most people - will be featured in a large tent, along with free baby strollers, sunscreen and water. The tent will be open to all "Friends of the Festival" cardholders.

TD Friends of the Environment Foundation Bike Zones

TD Friends of the Environment Foundation will make it easy for bike-loving jazz enthusiasts to enjoy the shows, even though bikes are not allowed on site. TD Friends of the Environment Foundation will provide parking for about 300 bikes near the Festival perimeter. Some 200 parking places will be in an area next to the Saint-Laurent metro station. The rest will be at the corner of Bleury and de Maisonneuve.

TD and Music

In recognition of Canadians' love of music, TD helps bring the best in musical talent to our communities and clients through sponsorships, which include support for nine of Canada's best known jazz festivals.
