TORONTO, Feb. 1 /CNW/ - Representatives from the Art Gallery of Hamilton (AGH) and TD Bank Group will be celebrating the official opening of the Winter 2011 exhibition season and launch of the AGH's year-long celebration of French and Francophone culture with a donation announcement at the AGH at 123 King Street West, Hamilton on February 6.
Media and the public are invited to this announcement in the Joey and Toby Tanenbaum Pavilion where Rick Court, Chair, AGH Board of Directors; Louise Dompierre, AGH President and CEO will be joined by David Kissick, District Vice President, TD Commercial Banking for the presentation.
TD's financial commitment of $50,000 will go towards The French Connection, a year-long celebration of French and Francophone culture that includes engaging exhibitions, events, and activities throughout 2011. The Winter 2011 exhibition season includes a major exhibition of works by 19th-century French artist Eugène Carrière; works by master printmakers Rouault and Matisse; new video works from France; and a retrospective exhibition of works by Quebec artist Diane Landry.
