Join former NHL players - Lanny McDonald, Jamie Macoun and Colin Patterson - for a day of free winter fun at TD Winterfest
CALGARY, Feb. 15 /CNW/ - A recent TD poll found that 45% of Albertans say they are busier than they were five years ago, which leaves less quality time to spend with the ones you care about. When Family Day was first introduced to Albertans in 1990, the purpose of the provincial holiday was to emphasize the importance of family and spend time together. This year, celebrate with your family and enjoy a day of free winter fun at TD Winterfest with three former NHL players!
"At TD we strive to make banking comfortable for our customers, our employees and the communities where we do business and what could be more comfortable than enjoying a day of laughs and winter fun with the people you're closest with?" said Monique Bateman, Senior Vice President, Prairie Region, TD Canada Trust. "Calgary is such a great community to live in and do business. Hosting events like this strengthens our relationships and helps our city continue to prosper."
Lace up your skates and hit the rink, build snowmen and ice castles, and warm up with a cup of hot cocoa at the ice café. NHL greats Jamie Macoun, Lanny McDonald and Colin Patterson will be there signing autographs and visiting with festival attendees. Watch professional ice sculptors create works of art right before your eyes and get a complimentary photo of you and your family as a souvenir.

About the TD poll
From January 25 to 26, 2011, Angus Reid Public Opinion conducted an online survey among 1,013 randomly selected Canadian adults, including 109 Albertans, who are Angus Reid Forum panelists. The results have been statistically weighted according to the most current education, age, gender and region census data to ensure a sample representative of the entire adult population of Canada.
