TD Bank Group to make exciting announcement at annual summer program kick-off

TORONTO, June 16, 2011 /CNW/ - The TD Summer Reading Club will set sail again this summer with reading programs in libraries across Canada. Now in its sixteenth year, the annual program is a partnership with TD Bank Group, Toronto Public Library and Library and Archives Canada.

TD Bank Group deputy chair Frank McKenna will be on hand to make an exciting announcement at the annual kick-off event. The Toronto Public Library, Library and Archives Canada and CNIB will join TD for the launch along with British Columbia artist Kim LaFave, who created the artwork for this year's program.

TD Summer Reading Club encourages the joy of reading, and supports children in reaching their highest potential in a supportive learning environment. This year's participants will receive their own fun-filled reading kit and enjoy aquatic-themed reading games, challenges and discussions, book-related crafts, author visits and storytelling sessions.
