- Newest branch in Abbotsford demonstrates TD's commitment to investing in the community
- TD makes financial contribution to local wildlife centre
ABBOTSFORD, BC, Oct. 1, 2011 /CNW/ - Abbotsford is growing and so is TD! With the opening of its new branch, located at 2298 Whatcom Road in Abbotsford, TD Canada Trust is making banking even more convenient and comfortable for residents and businesses alike.
"Abbotsford is a vibrant community and has seen a lot of economic growth, said Sunny Chahal, Branch Manager. "We're keeping pace with that growth by opening new locations in the communities in which we operate, by being open longer hours and by being open on Sundays."
B.C.'s fifth largest city continues to grow in both population and in economic development. TD chose to locate another branch in Abbotsford to provide more services to a growing community and sees future growth potential both here and throughout the Fraser Valley.
"With one of the country's most diversified local economies, we believe opening yet another location in Abbotsford is the right thing to do to continue to provide a high level of service and convenience to our customers," said Chahal.
TD also believes in working together with communities to maintain and improve the local environment. As part of sustainable and responsible growth and to celebrate the new branch opening, TD Friends of the Environment made a $5,000 donation to Elizabeth's Wildlife Centre in Abbotsford.
The centre has been rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned and abandoned wildlife in the Fraser Valley since 1986 and the much needed funding will go towards food, site improvements and building new shelters for the animals in care.
The new TD Canada Trust location in Abbotsford offers a full array of personal and small business products and services as well as Financial Services Representatives.
The branch will also have a community board room that will be available to any community group to conduct seminars or group meetings. The room, which will be booked based on availability, will have video conferencing capabilities, Internet access, an LCD screen, a photocopier and a printer.
As part of TD Canada Trust's extended hours, the branch will be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Wednesday; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The new 5,000-square-foot branch is wheelchair accessible and features two full-service ATMs which are available 24 hours a day.
