- State-of-the-art branch in new community of South McTaggart meets growing need -

EDMONTON, Oct. 14, 2011 /CNW/ - TD Canada Trust announces the grand opening of a new concept branch located in the suburb of South McTaggart to serve the needs of Edmonton's expanding community. Bringing an innovative approach to branch banking, the branch offers customers an open design with a lounge and beverage station, high-tech digital displays, virtual systems and other special features to enhance and simplify the banking experience.

In addition to the grand-opening festivities, TD will present a $5,000 donation to the local Terwillegar Community Garden, now in its second year of operation. This gift will help create a space where the community comes together to learn about growing food in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. The garden site is located across from two schools and includes a large food bank plot which grew 337 kg of produce in 2010 that went directly to the food bank.

"We're thrilled to be a new member of Edmonton's growing community," says Stephen English, Branch Manager, TD Canada Trust.
