Presenting sponsor of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal for the seventh consecutive year

MONTREAL, April 26, 2016 /CNW/ - TD Bank Group returns as presenting sponsor of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal for the seventh consecutive year and launches new initiatives to promote an appreciation of jazz among visitors and Montrealers alike. Sylvie Demers, Chair, Quebec Market, TD Bank Group, joined the Festival's Organizing Committee today to unveil the details of TD's participation in 2016.

"Since first partnering with the FIJM, we have constantly looked for ways to enhance the festival-goer's experience with initiatives that add to the enjoyment of attending the Festival and listening to talented musicians," says Demers. "The entire TD team in Quebec is extremely proud to be part of an event that is so iconic of Montreal summers."

Added onsite comfort
Among the new perks TD is offering at the Festival are the three TD Comfort Zones spread out across the festival grounds. With a seating capacity of 200, they give visitors the chance to take a break and enjoy refreshments between shows. What's more, a 160-seat riser, called the TD Bleachers will provide festival goers with a place to sit and enjoy shows on the TD stage. Last but not least, kiosks throughout the site will be equipped with 50 TD Point of Sale (POS) devices providing additional credit and debit payment options for attendees.

The TD Jazz Tour
TD is launching the TD Jazz Tour this spring to get residents of the Greater Montreal Area interested in jazz by bringing the spirit of the Festival to them. This spring and fall, jazz quartets will perform 88 thirty-minute pieces at four shopping centres: Galeries d'Anjou, Fairview Pointe-Claire, Promenades Saint-Bruno and Carrefour Laval.

TD will also continue to support the TD Blues Camp, a unique day camp for aspiring musicians between the ages of 13 and 17. From July 3 to 9, 2016, teens attending the camp will prepare a concert to be performed on the TD stage at the close of the Festival.
