- Thousands of events taking place at libraries across Canada as part of the TD Summer Reading Club -

HALIFAX, June 22, 2016 /CNW/ - The TD Summer Reading Club, Canada's largest bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, interests and abilities, kicks off Saturday, June 25, with a celebration event at Halifax Central Library. Kids and their families are invited to be the first in Canada to enjoy TD Summer Reading Club's exclusive online story, The Bear King's Curse, with a live reading from author Jess Keating. The event is one of thousands happening across Canada to encourage kids to register for the TD Summer Reading Club to get access to free reading resources and activities all summer long.

Designed to inspire kids to explore the fun of reading their way, TD Summer Reading Club is an annual program sponsored by TD Bank Group and led by the Toronto Public Library in partnership with Library and Archives Canada. Delivered through libraries across Canada, each year more than 1.2 million books are read by hundreds of thousands of kids as part of the TD Summer Reading Club.
