TORONTO, Oct. 24, 2018 /CNW/ - TD Asset Management Inc. (TDAM), the manager of TD Managed Assets Program (TD MAP) Portfolios, announced today the renaming of its cash flow series options for TD Managed Portfolios and TD FundSmart Managed Portfolios. This change is intended to reflect the 5% target annualized distribution rate within the series name to help provide better transparency on the target annualized distribution rate of each series.

The TD Managed and TD FundSmart Managed Portfolios are diversified, professionally managed mutual fund solutions tailored to help meet the needs of various investors with certain investment objectives, risk tolerances, time horizons and return expectations. These changes aim to help simplify the cash flow series options for these portfolios, seeking to make it easier for investors to understand the target annualized distribution rate they may expect to potentially receive from their investment.

Additionally, the following TD MAP Portfolios will be changing their risk ratings as indicated below. These changes will be reflected in the TD MAP Simplified Prospectus and Fund Facts that will be filed on or about October 25, 2018.

The risk rating changes are based on the methodology mandated by the Canadian Securities Administrators (the CSA) and the related annual review by TDAM to determine the risk level of publicly-offered mutual funds. The changes are not a result of any modifications made to the investment objectives, strategies or management of the portfolios.
