Bank is growing its suite of technology patents to continue building an innovation ecosystem focused on supporting customers' needs

TD Bank Group (TD) today announced that it has acquired a number of U.S. patent assets from IBM. The patents acquired by TD are directed at foundational check imaging, authentication and insurance technologies. The patents will contribute to the Bank's innovation ecosystem and support its focus on creating new kinds of digital products and services for its customers. “This agreement reflects our continued focus on innovation,” said Josh Death, Intellectual Property and Patentable Innovations Lead at TD. “We are building on the long-standing relationship between TD and IBM and look forward to future collaborations and business opportunities.”
