CHERRY HILL, NJ, Sept. 4, 2025 – TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank®, today announced it has been recognized by Celent as a winner of their 2025 Model Bank for Customer Centered Innovation in Business Banking Award for its TD Small Business Dashboard and Tap to Pay on iPhone digital banking solutions.

Celent — a global research and advisory firm for the financial services industry — conducts its annual Model Bank Awards to recognize the best practices of technology usage in different areas critical to success in banking. Nominations are submitted by financial institutions and undergo a rigorous evaluation process by Celent analysts. Celent judges submissions on three core criteria: demonstrable business benefits of live initiatives; the degree of innovation relative to the industry; and the technology or implementation excellence.

“The Model Bank Awards recognize institutions that are innovating to lead the next era of digital experiences," said Mike Bernard, Senior Analyst at Celent. "These banks should serve as an inspiration to others looking for strong examples of best practice implementation that will have a truly meaningful impact on business results and the industry overall. Both the TD Small Business Dashboard and Tap to Pay on iPhone demonstrated this.”

Bernard continued: "Institutions are looking beyond basic UI improvements and increasingly focused on improved product experiences, that add real value to their customer’s relationship. TD has provided a great example of customer-focused innovation.”

In addition to recognizing TD as a 2025 Model Bank Customer Centered Innovation in Business Banking Award winner during Celent’s 2025 Innovation & Insight Day flagship event, Bernard developed an in-depth case study on the TD Small Business Dashboard and Tap to Pay on iPhone capabilities. The case study explores how the bank leveraged a customer-centric approach to product design that included extensive research to identify specific pain points experienced by small business clients.

"When the team set out to create TD Bank's Small Business Dashboard and Tap to Pay on iPhone capability, our vision was clear: Design tangible solutions and capabilities that address the needs of small business owners on a deeply intuitive level," said Jo Jagadish, Head of Digital Banking and U.S. Contact Centers at TD Bank. "In an age where technology can feel impersonal, TD Bank is committed to bringing together the best of innovation and personal service to meet the ever-evolving needs of our customers."

Chris Ward, Head of U.S. Small Business Banking at TD Bank, added that the recognition exemplifies the bank's continued commitment to delivering innovative, holistic solutions to help small business owners realize their goals.

"Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and this recognition is a testament to our commitment to helping small business owners run and grow their companies with confidence," he said.
