TD Coliseum, Hamilton's reimagined music-first venue in the heart of the city’s downtown, has officially opened its doors.

The first artist to take the stage will be Sir Paul McCartney. The legendary singer-songwriter will perform on Friday, November 21 at 8 p.m.

In June 2025, TD announced a multi-year naming rights sponsorship to transform the old Hamilton Arena, as part of a multi-million-dollar revamping led by Oak View Group (OVG), a worldclass leader in live venue development.

"We’re incredibly proud of our commitment to the communities we serve, and the opening of TD Coliseum is the latest example of how we bring that support to life," said Raymond Chun, Group President and CEO, TD Bank Group.

"At TD, we believe music has the power to inspire, connect cultures, and create moments that bring people together. Supporting music isn’t just about entertainment; it’s about strengthening our communities and celebrating what makes them unique."

The venue now includes specially designed lounges for performers, state-of-the-art acoustics, upgraded production facilities, and electrical and lighting systems.

Guests can also enjoy complimentary high-speed Internet provided by Rogers Communications inside the venue.

A "community-centric" design approach has shaped the venue's thoughtfully appointed suites, clubs, and lounges – each created to prioritize comfort, connection, and conversation.

New mid-level and floor level suites featuring innovative designs that offer privacy, while maintaining direct visual proximity to the stage.

The Rezilience Gate, the venue's primary entrance for fans, is a tribute to Hamilton's Indigenous heritage and culture.

“TD Coliseum was reimagined for Hamilton and the guests who bring it to life,” said Nick DeLuco, Oak View Group’s Senior Vice President and General Manager for TD Coliseum.

“Every improvement from the concourses to the clubs was designed to make attending a concert or event more enjoyable and memorable. TD Coliseum represents where live entertainment is heading, and we’re proud to deliver that next-level experience right here in the heart of Hamilton.”

Food stalls, trendy restaurants, and a TD Coliseum mobile app

Technology plays a central role in the new guest experience – even before they arrive. The TD Coliseum Mobile App enables guests to access their tickets, view maps of the venue, and buy merchandise.

Grab-and-go food stalls with contactless payment were designed to make it easy for visitors to quickly choose snacks without waiting in long lines.

The Iron Cow Public House, the venue's new onsite speakeasy-style restaurant and bar, was curated by celebrated Toronto chef Matty Matheson. It will be open to the public on both event and non-event days.

Upcoming performers at TD Coliseum

Andrea Bocelli will perform at the venue on December 9 and Brad Paisley on December 12. The venue will also host the 55th Annual JUNO Awards, sponsored by TD, to be broadcast live on CBC on March 29, 2026.

Currently scheduled upcoming acts include Rod Stewart, Journey, Disney on Ice, Cardi B, and the Harlem Globetrotters.
