New branch to serve rapidly expanding Leitrim, Findlay Creek communities.
OTTAWA, Sept. 8 /CNW/ - As part of its commitment to building a strong
presence in Canada's many diverse and growing communities, TD Canada Trust
today announced the grand opening of its branch located at 2940 Bank Street
and Queensdale Ave in Ottawa. The new branch offers a wide array of products
and services as well as one Financial Advisor, three Financial Service
Representatives and access to a professional TD Waterhouse Financial Planner
dedicated to helping customers meet their financial goals.
"TD Canada Trust now has more than 45 branches in the Ottawa area, six
opened in the last two years alone. The south end of Ottawa, especially, has
seen a boom in development in the last few years," said Tim DeDekker, Branch
Manager. "The community known as Findlay Creek is rapidly growing and
according to the City of Ottawa, the Leitrim area is expected to grow to
approximately 9,500 people over the next few years. We're thrilled to be able
to provide the kind of service our customers want at our new branch in
Ottawa."
TD Canada Trust is dedicated to providing customers with a comfortable
banking experience - offering the products and services they want, when they
want it, in a way they understand and appreciate. For example, TD Canada Trust
offers services in multiple languages, both in branch and at its ABMs
(automated banking machines).
The new 4,500 square foot branch has been designed and built taking into
consideration the accessibility needs of our customers. The new branch also
features eight private sit-down areas as well as one full-service vestibule
Green Machine ABM and one Drive through ABM, which are accessible 24 hours a
day.
At 12:30 pm today, David McGuinty, MP, Ottawa South; Gary Dunne, Senior
Vice President, Ontario North and East Region, TD Canada Trust and Linda
MacKay, District Vice President, Ottawa South and Seaway Central, TD Canada
Trust will be on hand to celebrate the grand opening of the branch as well as
Branch Manager Tim DeDekker along with representatives from the Therapeutic
Riding Association of Ottawa-Carleton.
In addition, Tim DeDekker will present the Therapeutic Riding Association
with a donation of $2500, on behalf of TD Canada Trust towards their program.
This charitable organization is dedicated to providing a riding program to
enhance the quality of life for persons with disabilities.
Branch hours are from Monday to Friday, 8am-8pm and Saturday 9am-3pm.
Saturday hours will be extended to 8am-4 pm starting November 1st, when TD
launches longer hours at branches across the country.
