- "EasyWeb" wins top honours in customer appeal, service, products,
design and information security
- Fourth consecutive year at the top for Canada's most popular online
bank
TORONTO, Sept. 27 /CNW/ - TD Canada Trust's award winning Internet
banking web site EasyWeb, has been named "Best Consumer Internet Bank in
Canada" for the fourth year in a row as part of the "World's Best Internet
Banks" competition by Global Finance, an international financial magazine.
TD Canada Trust has also been awarded four other distinctions for 2007 -
"Best Investment Management Services," "Best Web Site Design," "Best
Information Security Initiatives," and "Best Online Deposits Acquisition." The
award results will be formally announced in the September 2007 issue of the
magazine.
"We're extremely proud to be named as Best Consumer Internet Bank in
Canada for the fourth year in a row," said Alexandra Shaw, Vice President,
Internet Banking, TD Canada Trust. "We regularly review our website and listen
to what our customers are telling us, to ensure that we continue to meet their
needs. We also stay up-to-date with technology trends to ensure our website
offers our customers the products and services they are looking for."
TD Canada Trust's EasyWeb was chosen among other entries based on a
number of criteria including:
- Strength of strategy for attracting and servicing online customers;
- Success in number of online customers;
- Breadth of product offerings;
- Evidence of tangible benefits gained from Internet initiatives and
- Web site design and functionality
"We're also thrilled that we received the Best Information Security

customers through Norton Confidence Online," said Shaw. "Customers are telling
us they are feeling more and more confident and secure so much so that this
year alone, we've had about 1 million people sign up for online banking."

ranked as the most used online banking site in Canada by the 2007 Canadian
Interactive Reid Report, where it also received the highest customer
satisfaction rating among all Canadian online banking services. TD Canada

banking customers among Canadian banks, as determined by a recent Online
Financial Services Benchmark survey conducted by Forrester Research.
This year TD Canada Trust was recognized by J.D. Power and Associates and
