"TD Commerce Bank will own the convenience and Customer service space from Maine to Florida and will live the promise of being America's Most Convenient Bank," said Bharat Masrani, President and Chief Executive Officer, TD Banknorth. "We will be relentlessly focused on building a better bank for Customers by staying open longer than our competitors and providing Customers with the WOW! experience they have come to expect." TD Commerce Bank's Brand Promise TD Commerce Bank will continue the Commerce Bank tradition of being "America's Most Convenient Bank." "Commerce Bank Customers can continue to count on seven-day banking with the same great hours, legendary service from the same great Employees and our popular conveniences including Penny Arcades and treats for kids and dogs," said Dennis DiFlorio, Chairman, Commerce Bank N.A. "In addition, TD Banknorth Customers can look forward to even longer hours and a wider range of ATMs from Maine to Florida." Customers can continue to bank at their local Commerce or TD Banknorth store, with the same hours, staff, products and services. Enhancements to the Customer experience will be communicated directly to Customers in the coming months. To celebrate the launch of TD Commerce Bank as America's Most Convenient Bank, starting April 10, 2008, Customers of both Commerce and TD Banknorth can access their cash without incurring fees at any of the companies' combined 2,700 ATMs from Maine to Florida and more than 2,500 ATMs at TD Canada Trust locations throughout Canada. Creating the New Brand Extensive Customer and market research guided the banks' decision to leverage the financial strength of TD Bank Financial Group and Commerce's legendary focus on Customer service to create TD Commerce Bank (NYSE: TD, TSE: TD), America's Most Convenient Bank. Introducing the New Brand TD Banknorth and Commerce will adopt the TD Commerce Bank brand name and "America's Most Convenient Bank" tagline as part of its logo and brand positioning across all markets. The bank plans a multi-phase brand rollout to thrill Customers and engage Employees while continuing to deliver legendary Customer service. Consumers will be introduced to TD Commerce Bank via a multi-million dollar marketing campaign that will include television, print, online and in- store marketing. The campaign will launch later this year and will span the bank's New England, Mid-Atlantic and Florida footprints. In the next few months the company's 1,100 combined store network will begin a comprehensive exterior and interior re-branding effort to TD Commerce Bank. Current Commerce Bank stores will be the first to re-brand starting in 2008 with current TD Banknorth stores expected to be fully re-branded sometime in 2009.
