TORONTO, Dec. 4 /CNW/ - TD Bank Financial Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Levitt to its Board of Directors. Mr. Levitt is a Partner and Co-Chair of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP and resides in Montreal. Mr. Levitt is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Imasco Limited, a Canadian consumer goods and services company. Mr. Levitt currently serves as a director of Domtar Corporation and BCE Inc. He is also Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and a director and Vice-Chair of the C.D. Howe Institute. "We're pleased to have Brian join our Board of Directors," said John Thompson, Chairman of the Board, TD Bank Financial Group. "Brian's extensive business background combined with his experience as a seasoned director and as a legal advisor will bring strategic value to the Board's deliberations." Mr. Levitt holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto where he also completed his LLB. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1975 and the Quebec Bar in 2001. The appointment of Mr. Levitt brings the total number of directors to eighteen.
