SickKids Foundation to benefit from funds raised in GTA and Northern Ontario
TORONTO, Dec. 6, 2011 /CNW/ - For the 17th consecutive year, TD is asking Torontonians to support their local children's hospital, The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), through Children's Miracle Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for 14 children's hospitals across Canada. TD will help make miracles happen this December by matching customer donations, up to $1 million, to support the community's local Children's Miracle Network hospital.
To launch this year's initiative, on December 8, 2011, SickKids Patient
Ambassador, Hunter, 4, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic
leukemia (ALL), and his nurses, Andrea Cote and Lindsay Fraser, will be
in the TD Canada Trust branch at Grand Magazine and Fleet Street to
break a large piggy bank to encourage Torontonians to donate on
December 9th and throughout the year. Funds raised will support SickKids Foundation,
the Children's Miracle Network member hospital foundation for the GTA
and Northern Ontario.
