Cherry Hill, N.J., Aug 6, 2024 – TD Bank today announced new enhancements to the rewards and benefits of its popular TD Cash Secured Credit Card™. The product will now leverage the same rewards structure offered by the TD Cash Credit Card, giving cardholders 3% Cash Back on a category of their choice, 2% on their second category, and 1% Cash Back on all other eligible purchases.1 Customers will also be able to change their categories on a quarterly basis.

"We want to make sure customers have a way to maximize rewards while building their credit history," said Chris Fred, Head of Credit Cards at TD Bank. "This product helps customers begin their credit journey in a positive way."

The TD Cash Secured Credit Card uses a security deposit to provide a credit line to consumers, helping them build their credit by reporting the account to credit bureaus. The Cash Back categories are the same as those offered with the TD Cash Credit Card and include Dining, Entertainment, Gas Stations, Grocery Stores, and Travel. The card also comes with Visa Signature Benefits like cell phone protection and emergency card replacement. Cardholders may be considered for graduation to the TD Cash Credit Card based on a review of a variety of factors.

"A secured credit card is a great entry point for people looking to build credit, and with TD Cash Secured, you can earn up to 3% Cash Back while you do so," said Fred.

All existing TD Cash Secured Card customers will be upgraded to the enhanced rewards structure automatically.2
