CHERRY HILL, N.J., March 15, 2021 – Today, TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank®, announced its third annual participation in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows program. The program is designed to train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. Ellen Glaessner, General Counsel, will provide advice and guidance to a talented, diverse group of mid-career attorneys who have been selected by corporations and law firms to participate. Etta Gumbs, Senior Counsel, TD Bank, and Deirdre McInerney, Senior Counsel, TD Bank, were selected as the 2021 LCLD Fellows for TD.

"It's an honor to support the LCLD Fellows program in this capacity," said Ellen Glaessner, General Counsel at TD Bank. "I am proud of our talented team, and as a woman in leadership, I strongly believe that we need a diverse and inclusive workforce to enhance talent development and retention, foster partnership and collaboration, overcome obstacles, create best practices and improve business outcomes. TD has a history of working with LCLD to promote attorneys who reflect our mutual commitment to advance diversity and inclusion in the legal profession and financial services industry."

Glaessner joined TD in 2013, serving most recently as General Counsel for the Bank. She leads a team that provides business-oriented legal advice to the company's various business lines to help roll out new products, manage litigation, implement regulations, and address consumer and business needs. She has more than 25 years of legal experience in the financial services industry.

"We are very thrilled that Ellen and legal leaders at TD will participate in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity program, " said Girish Ganesan, Global Head of Diversity & Inclusion and Head of Talent at TD Bank. "At TD, we prioritize diversity and inclusion initiatives and invest time with our colleagues on growth and development plans. Our participation further supports a core part of our strategy of building and supporting our diverse workforce."

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 350 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession. The LCLD Fellows Program, which has trained nearly 2,000 mid-career attorneys since 2011, is one of LCLD’s most important initiatives.
