Jeff Chan thinks ahead. As the Senior Manager, Enterprise Innovation, TD Invent, Chan spends his days forecasting what consumers may want next by analyzing data related to consumer expectations and emerging technologies.

He might not have a crystal ball, but he's pretty good at making predictions. His insights helped TD become the first bank in the world to offer customer service via Facebook messenger (that was a big deal in 2015). Chan continues to be a sought-after futurist within the Bank, known for his highly anticipated consumer trend reports and ability to talk about tech innovation in a way that's approachable, measured and often, reassuring.

He brings that energy to The Banking on AI Podcast to talk about the past year in AI. He looks at the big moments, emphasizes that AI isn't really new (it's just more accessible) and gazes into that crystal ball to muse about future iterations of AI—hint: self-driving cars might just be the start.
