MONTREAL, June 21 /CNW/ - TD Canada Trust is proud to celebrate the 50th
anniversary of its St-Jean branch. The branch has been serving its regional
clients at the same address, 46 St-Jacques Street in St-Jean, since May 1957.
Christine Marchildon, Senior Vice President for Québec, says the TD
Canada Trust team is determined to continue offering even better services in
St-Jean. "Although we have been well-established for 50 years, we never take
our clients for granted. Our intention is to continue improving the quality of
our services. For example, we'll be increasing our service hours in November."
TD Canada Trust announced June 6 that its branch hours will be increased
across the country starting in November 2007, which includes opening its doors
every Saturday.
TD Canada Trust, which opened its first branch in Québec in 1860, has
been experiencing steady growth in the province over recent years and
currently has more than 97 branches in Québec.
According to the results of a recent survey of clients of the five
largest banks by Synovate, an independent survey company, TD Canada Trust
ranks first among the five major banks in the country for its quality of
service two years in a row. Also, for the second year in a row, TD Canada
Trust was recently named the best Internet personal banking services provider
in Canada as part of a world-wide contest organized by Global Finance, an
international financial publication.
Residents of St-Jean are invited to live the TD Canada Trust experience
Eric Guay, TD Canada Trust branch manager, has 17 years of experience in
the banking sector. He welcomes residents of St-Jean and its surrounding area
to visit TD's St-Jean branch and learn why it has been so successful for the
past 50 years. "At TD Canada Trust, all of our efforts are aimed at offering
our clients the best possible service. We are very proud that the surveys and,
above all, our clients have confirmed our success on this level. We offer the
expertise of two financial advisors and one financial planner as well as other
services to make our clients' banking experiences easier."
TD Canada Trust clients also have access to the following services: The
discount brokerage or full service brokerage divisions of TD Waterhouse, small
business banking, and commercial banking - all of which provide some of the
