Giving to children's health is easy and ongoing with TD's annual fundraising campaign for Children's Miracle Network

TORONTO, Nov. 26 /CNW/ - TD Bank Financial Group today launched its annual TD Children's Health Fund campaign in support of Children's Miracle Network. During the campaign, TD customers (including employees) conducting in-branch banking, telephone banking or Internet banking through EasyWeb will be offered the option of registering for automated monthly donations to support children's health. In 2006, TD raised $5.1 million for 14 Children's Miracle Network hospitals across Canada and this year's campaign runs from November 26 to December 28, 2007. Facts about the TD Children's Health Fund and Children's Miracle Network: - TD Bank Financial Group matches every $1 donated to Children's Miracle Network through the automated monthly donation program up to $1 million annually. - 100% of every dollar donated is allocated to the children's hospital foundation assigned to the branch where the donation was made; this ensures donations are used for funding projects in the community where the donation originated. - Every year, Children's Miracle Network hospitals in Canada treat more than 2.5 million children suffering from all types of diseases and serious injuries. - Funds raised are used to buy highly specialized equipment, develop education and prevention programs, and to support medical breakthrough research that saves the lives of countless children. - TD Canada Trust Internet banking customers can establish automated monthly donations directly by logging into EasyWeb and clicking on "Special Requests" followed by "Make a Donation" from the menu on the left hand side of the screen. "TD believes in supporting the health of children because of the strong positive impact it has on our communities," said Tim Hockey, Group Head Personal Banking, Co-Chair TD Canada Trust and TD's children's health champion. "We've made children's health one of our three pillars of community giving at TD and we hope our annual campaign in support of the Children's Miracle Network makes it easier for our customers and employees to give to their local children's hospital." Customers who sign up for an automated monthly donation during the campaign will be automatically entered for a chance to win a grand prize trip for a family of four featuring four nights at an Orlando, Florida theme park followed by a three night cruise. During the campaign, TD Visa will also donate five dollars to Children's Miracle Network for every TD Gold Travel Visa application approved.
