TORONTO, March 3 /CNW/ - TD Bank Financial Group today released its sixth annual Corporate Responsibility Report, "Making a Difference Together." Available at www.td.com/crr, the report offers information about TD's community, social, environmental, and economic impacts and performance. Annually, TD shares its commitment to employees and communities through corporate donations and sponsorships that support a host of national and regional activities focusing on children's health, the environment, and literacy and education. In 2007, TD contributed $32.6 million to charities and not-for-profit organizations across the country, and invested $68.2 million in employee training and development for its nearly 49,000 Canadian employees. In 2007, TD also released its Environmental Management Framework building upon its environmental policy and outlining its approach to tackling critical issues such as climate change and forest biodiversity. The TD Friends of the Environment Foundation continued its 18-year history of protecting the environment providing more than $3 million in funding to 830 grassroots environment and wildlife initiatives. The Corporate Responsibility Report demonstrates TD's dedication to being a transparent and accountable organization and complements the 2007 Annual Report to Shareholders.
