TORONTO, May 11 /CNW/ - TD Bank Group has donated $25,000 to the Canadian Red Cross in response to appeals for support of residents affected by severe flooding in Quebec and Manitoba.

"This is a challenging time for many of our employees, customers and community members affected by the destructive effects of flooding," said Scott Mullin, Vice President, Community Relations, TD Bank Group. "Our hope is that this donation, combined with the relief efforts of the Red Cross, will give residents the immediate support they need."

TD is directing its donation to the Canadian Red Cross to support recovery efforts as well as provide shelter and comfort stations for community members forced out of their homes and those grappling with the effects of the floods.
