TORONTO, Oct. 14, 2011 /CNW/ - From today until November 30th, 2011, TD Bank Group is inviting Canadians to view an online video for the chance to win an all-expense* paid cruise of the Hawaiian Islands.

Entering the TD EasyWeb Watch & Win contest is easy: visit www.tdcanadatrust.com/watchandwin and follow the prompts to watch a short video on the benefits of EasyWeb online banking.

The video includes tips to maximize the online banking experience, as well as ways to take advantage of online services that make saving and managing finances extremely easy. Individuals who have successfully viewed the video will be entered into a random draw to win the grand prize of an all-expense paid cruise for two, of the Hawaiian Islands.

Five secondary winners will each receive a cash prize of $1,000.

Earlier this month, TD Canada Trust released the results of its Everyday Banking Poll, which found that the most significant change in Canadian's banking habits over the past five years has been adopting online banking (46%), followed by paperless recordkeeping (12%) and viewing statements electronically (10%). Three-quarters of Canadians (76%) now use online banking to pay their bills.

However, many Canadians do not take advantage of online banking services that help make saving and managing finances even easier. According to the poll, less than half of Canadians (43%) take advantage of pre-authorized payments, only 8% use mobile banking and only 28% use automated savings programs.

"While Canadians have largely embraced online banking, there are advantages to automating certain transactions that many people are unaware of," says Paal Kaperdal, Senior Vice President, Online Banking, TD Bank Group. "For example, using the recurring payments feature within EasyWeb to make mortgage or fixed bill payments each month is a simple, effective way to ensure payments are never missed. It also saves money on late fees and interest and helps maintain a credit rating."

The free EasyWeb tour is an effective way for customers to learn about many of these services from the comfort of their home or the convenience of their laptop.

The TD EasyWeb Watch & Win Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who are of the age of majority in their Province/Territory of residence at the time of entry into the Contest. Employees, agents and representatives of The Toronto-Dominion Bank or its subsidiaries and affiliates, or of its advertising and promotion agencies or their subsidiaries and affiliates, are not eligible to win, nor is any person with whom any such employee, agent or representative is domiciled. For full information and contest rules, please visit www.tdcanadatrust.com/watchandwin. The deadline for entries is 5 p.m. on November 30, 2011. Winners will be selected on December 2, 2011.

Carbon credits have been purchased to offset carbon emissions resulting from this trip. TD Bank Group is a proud partner of Carbonzero, supporting emissions reduction projects and the fight against climate change.
