TORONTO, March. 31, 2017 /CNW/ - TD Asset Management Inc. (TDAM) today announced a revision to the annual 2016 reinvested distributions for the TD International Equity CAD Hedged Index ETF. The amount previously disclosed as representing a year-end capital gains distribution has been revised to represent a year-end distribution of income

Unitholders of record on December 29, 2016, received a notional distribution at year end which will now represent income and not realized capital gains within the TD International Equity CAD Hedged Index ETF for the 2016 tax year. A notional distribution is when the units from a reinvested distribution are immediately consolidated with the units held prior to the distribution and the number of units held after the distribution is identical to the number of units held before the distribution.

The revised taxable amounts of reinvested and cash distributions for 2016, including tax characteristics of the distributions, will be reported to brokers via CDS Clearing and Depository Services.
