TD Bank opened its doors to the Queen City with much fanfare, as the bank cut the ribbon on its first retail store on 6611 Carmel Road. During the two-day celebration, TD brought plenty of surprise and delight to Charlotte, showing the community what its WOW! culture is all about.

Customers were greeted with a welcome fit for a head of state; their name loudly called out upon entering the store to meet with a banker. The steady pace of customers throughout the day were drawn in by music, dancing, food and even a photo and autograph opportunity with NASCAR and Spire Motorsports driver Corey LaJoie and a custom, TD-wrapped Chevy Camaro NASCAR vehicle. Grand opening attendees included TD Bank President & CEO, Leo Salom, mayor of Charlotte, Vi Lyles and Mecklenburg County manager, Dena Diorio.
