TD is not only one of the World's Best Employers for 2021 but has also been named the top employer in Canada, according to a new ranking of the world's top employers compiled by Forbes.

As well, TD was also named as the No. 2 employer in the Banking and Financial Services industry category for all of North and South America. In the global rankings, TD ranked No. 70 out of a total of 750 companies from 58 countries. This is the second consecutive year TD has made the list.

The prestigious rankings are based on survey data polled from more than 150,000 full-time and part-time workers from businesses with operations in multiple nations or regions. Forbes developed the rankings in partnership with market research firm Statista.

"It is an honour for TD to be recognized as one of world’s best employers of 2021," said Kenn Lalonde, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at TD.

"It is a testament to colleagues and leaders across the Bank who make TD such a great place to work. This past year-and-a-half has been pivotal for many of us as we responded to the pandemic. In the face of unprecedented change, uncertainty and disruption, TD colleagues have continued to be there for our customers, our communities and one another. They are the ones who really demonstrated what sets TD apart.”

Lalonde said the ranking illustrates how investments in colleague programs, including well-being, a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, and leadership accountability, have all been factors that have led to TD's recognition as an employer of choice.

He said that with passionate employees and business groups, TD continues to service customers, communities and colleagues with confidence to thrive in a changing world.

The rankings are based on surveys that were conducted on a rolling basis between June and July, where participants rated their willingness to recommend their employers to friends and family. Respondents were asked to evaluate other employers in their respective industries that stood out either positively or negatively.

Respondents were also asked to rate companies on a range of other factors, including image, economic footprint, talent development, gender equality and social responsibility.

The recognition list was announced on October 12, 2021 and can be currently viewed on the Forbes website.
