Fueled by tales of the extraordinary displays of green, blue and pink hues dancing in the sky above – catching a glimpse of the Northern Lights is one of those life experiences that can be truly special for many people.
Still, the best sightings of the aurora borealis often take place in remote, Northern regions, and the lightshow can rarely be admired in Canada's largest downtown core.
That's about to change.
Back by popular demand, the TD Northern Lamps is an art experience currently on display outside the TD Centre Plaza (King and Bay) in the heart of downtown Toronto. The art experience is designed to enhance people's understanding of how individuals experience the Northern Lights in remote Northern regions.
On display until March 31st, the TD Northern Lamps are best appreciated after sunset, weather depending.
For those who can't make it down to TD Centre Plaza, the above video offers a chance to see a time-lapse of the magic that is the TD Northern Lamps.
