KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON, Nov. 1 /CNW/ - TD Canada Trust today announced the grand opening of its new branch in Kitchener-Waterloo at 4233 King Street East. In celebration of the grand opening, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation donated $1,500 to the Canadian Peregrine Foundation's Project School Visit and $3,500 to Dr. Glew School Environment Visitation Program and TD Canada Trust donated $5,000 to the Children's Safety Village's Internet Safety Program. "We're excited to be able to make banking even more convenient for the residents of an expanding southwest Kitchener and northwest Cambridge by bringing our famous longer hours and award-winning customer service to this new location," says Sherry Wiles, Branch Manager. "It's important to us to give back to the communities where we do business, which is why we're thrilled to be able to provide $10,000 to three charities that will help this community continue to prosper." At 1:00 p.m. today, Chuck Hounsell, Senior Vice President, Western Ontario Region, TD Canada Trust and Anne Vickers, District Vice President, Kitchener-Waterloo, TD Canada Trust were on hand with Sherry Wiles to celebrate the grand opening with an official ribbon cutting. Festivities also included a kick off for a grand prize draw for two bicycles, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation reusable shopping bags were given to the first 50 customers, the Kitchener Fire Department hosted a fire-awareness display, the Waterloo Regional Police hosted a drug awareness display, children took part in fun activities and all attendees enjoyed refreshments and treats. The new location offers a full array of personal and small business products and services as well Financial Advisors, Financial Services Representatives and a TD Waterhouse Financial Planner dedicated to helping customers meet their financial goals. A full-service Green Machine ABM and a Drive Thru Green Machine ABM are available 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Designed in consideration of customers' accessibility needs, this new 4,300 square foot branch features TD Canada Trust's longer hours and is open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
