MAPLE, ON, Nov. 15 /CNW/ - A $4,000 donation courtesy of TD Friends of
the Environment Foundation to the City of Vaughan. A grand prize draw for
$1100 and surprise giveaways. Carnival themed games, hourly draws for $50,
face painters, a DJ, hot dogs, sweets and refreshments. Now that's what we
call a party and that's exactly how TD Canada Trust celebrated the opening of
its new branch at Major Mackenzie Drive and Dufferin in Maple today.
"Maple continues to grow and prosper - in fact we've seen the development
of 4000 new homes in this area alone. We're eager to meet all of our new
neighbours and happy to be able to provide them with our comfortable,
award-winning service and convenient longer hours at this brand new location,"
said Sylvia Stoikos, Branch Manager. "We figured what better way to get to
know the neighbours than by throwing a great big old-fashioned neighbourhood
party? So, that's exactly what we're doing!"
"We're thrilled by the growth we've experienced in Maple and by the
commitment of great partners like TD Canada Trust to the prosperity of our
community," said Mayor Linda Jackson. "TD's contribution to the City of
Vaughan's tree planting program will help ensure our community continues to be
a beautiful place to live."
Dozens of TD Canada Trust employees and volunteers, including District
Vice President Mario Decarolis, and Branch Manager Sylvia Stoikos, joined
Mayor Linda Jackson and members of Vaughan Council and Maple residents and
their families for today's festivities, which began at 9:00 a.m. and lasted
until 2:00 p.m.
The fun continues with TD Canada Trust's special grand opening offer
available at the Major Mackenzie Drive and Dufferin branch. Anyone who opens a
new account with a minimum deposit of $250 will receive a blender, a grill or
a rice cooker. The offer lasts until November 26th.
Located at 1370 Major Mackenzie Drive, this new branch offers a full
array of personal and small business products and services as well as a
financial planner and four financial services representatives with
multilingual capabilities in Italian, Russian, Hebrew, Portuguese, Hindi,
Macedonian and Greek. The branch features TD Canada Trust's famous longer
hours. Hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through
Wednesday; 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday; and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. on Saturday. The new 5000 square foot branch is wheelchair accessible,
features one full-service Green Machine ABM and one drive-thru ABM available
24 hours per day.
