TORONTO, April 18 /CNW/ - Representatives from Heartland Forest in Niagara Falls and TD Friends of the Environment Foundation will be celebrating Earth Day with a donation announcement at 8400 Kalar Road, Niagara Falls on April 20.
Media and the public are invited to this event where Dan Bouwman, Founder, Heartland Forest; Amy Brunning, Manager, Heartland Forest and students from FJ Rutland Public School will be joined by Monique Homer, District Vice President, TD Canada Trust for a cheque presentation as well as a tour of the Heartland Forest facilities.
With a gift of $8,000, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation will
provide funding for the Forest Discovery Program, which will reach over
1,000 children this year to foster awareness, understanding, and
appreciation of Heartland's forest environment; facilitate life-long
learning and healthy attitudes and show how personal and community
choices and actions can affect the environment both locally and
globally.
