CALGARY, Aug. 8, 2012 /CNW/ - Calgarians are invited to help kick-off GlobalFest 2012 at a complimentary lunch hosted by TD Canada Trust in the Sunridge Business Park on Friday August 10, from 11:00AM - 1:00PM. The sneak-a-peek taste of GlobalFest will feature catering from EthniCity Catering, a non-profit social enterprise of the Centre for Newcomers providing Canadian employment experience and training to immigrant women in transition - and one of many official GlobalFest catering vendors.
The lunch will include some free ticket draws to an evening at the GlobalFest OneWorld and Trico Homes International Fireworks Festival being held at Elliston Park August 16 - 26, along with other giveaways.
Guests will be treated to a sneak-a-peek of the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of GlobalFest. Tickets to the festival will also be available for sale at a reduced, exclusive rate.

As part of GlobalFest, TD also proudly presents The Human Rights Forum from August 13 - 17. A platform for sharing experiences, knowledge and practical solutions to address issues of racism and discrimination in a positive and safe environment, The Human Rights Forum has been offered since 2007.The intent of the Human Rights Forum is to share information as part of a larger international coalition being promoted through UNESCO's Coalition of Municipalities against Racism and Discrimination. This year's forum will address Social Issues faced by Aboriginal people and features an impressive line-up of speakers including The Right Honourable Paul Martin, P.C., C.C. on the 'Martin Aboriginal Initiative.'
