According to a GoBanking Rates survey, 59% of partnered (non-single) women lead finances in their household and another 31% share the responsibility. The CFP Board also reported that nearly 70% of women make their household's investment decisions.
The National Women's History Alliance named its Women's History Month 2026 theme as "Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future," encompassing financial sustainability, community resilience and more. This theme is timely: As more women become the household budget holders and decision makers, building a solid financial knowledge foundation is key.
