Cherry Hill, N.J., Jan. 27, 2022 – TD Bank and TD Securities U.S. announced today that they both have been named as one of the 2022 Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, receiving scores of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. TD Bank and TD Securities U.S. join the ranks of over 840 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks this year.

“Being recognized as a 'Best Place to Work' for 13 consecutive years is a testament to TD's long-standing history of supporting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Two-Spirit, Plus (LGBTQ2+) colleagues and our commitment to inclusion and continued progress," said Ellen Glaessner, U.S. General Counsel, TD Bank, N.A. and Management Committee Sponsor of TD Bank's U.S. LGBTQ2+ Business Resource Group. "At TD, we aim to be the employer and bank of choice for members of the LGBTQ2+ community. Our success depends on fostering a culture of care that creates an environment where colleagues feel included, know that their voices are being heard and feel proud to call TD home."

The results of the 2022 CEI showcase how 1,271 U.S.-based companies are not only promoting LGBTQ+-friendly workplace policies in the U.S., but also for the 56% of CEI-rated companies with global operations who are helping advance the cause of LGBTQ+ inclusion in workplaces abroad. TD Bank and TD Securities met all the CEI’s criteria to earn its 100 percent ranking and the designation as one of the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality.

The CEI criteria are reviewed annually, raising the bar to reflect best practices for LGBTQ+ inclusion and to drive companies to improve upon their commitment to the community. The 2022 CEI criteria fall under four central pillars:

  1. Non-discrimination policies across business entities;
  2. Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families;
  3. Supporting an inclusive culture; and,
  4. Corporate social responsibility.

    "This accomplishment recognizes our efforts to support and celebrate LGBTQ2+ colleagues, customers and communities," said Brad Wallace, Head of Human Resources, TD Securities U.S., and Chair of TD Securities U.S. LGBTQ2+ Employee Resource Group. "This recognition inspires us to keep the momentum going as we continue our efforts to enhance experiences for LGBTQ2+ colleagues and make TD Securities a place where everyone can thrive."
