MOUNT LAUREL, NJ, Nov. 26, 2024 TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, today announced the appointment of Courtney Mitchell as its Retail Market President, overseeing Pennsylvania and South Jersey. Mitchell is based in Mount Laurel.

In her role, Mitchell will oversee business development activities across the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area and lead retail teams in more than 120 stores. She will help refine and implement market strategy that will improve employee and customer experiences while promoting team collaboration and coordination across the region.

"I’m excited to add Courtney to our talented bench of retail banking leaders in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Metro,” said Rob Curley, Regional President of Metro Pennsylvania and New Jersey at TD Bank. "Her extensive product experience and proven track record for developing solutions that make a difference in the financial lives of TD customers will serve her well in this role."

Mitchell has been with TD Bank for 10 years and has held a variety of leadership roles, including product management, remediation, retail deposit and pricing.

In her most recent role as Head of Consumer Deposits, Product and Payments, she led all aspects of the customer lifecycle, including product and feature development, customer acquisition and engagement. She led the launch of TD Essential Banking, a low-cost, no-overdraft-fee deposit account aligned with the bank's efforts to support unbanked and underbanked communities as well as TD Early Pay, which lets customers receive their eligible direct deposits up to two days early. Mitchell was also pivotal in revamping TD's overdraft policies by working closely with internal stakeholders and regulators to introduce TD Overdraft Relief.

"Over the course of her career at TD, Courtney has consistently demonstrated strong leadership and a deep understanding of customer preferences and behaviors,” said Matt Boss, Head of Consumer Banking, TD Bank. "I am excited to see the impact of her passion, curiosity and her ability to lead through change in one of our most important markets.”

Mitchell is an executive Co-Lead for TD Bank's TD Disability Network and serves on the Board of Directors for Special People in the Northeast (SPIN, Inc.). She has been recognized as one of American Banker's Most Influential Women in Payments in 2024 and The Philadelphia Business Journal's Top 40 Under 40 in 2023.
