Every year, thousands descend on picturesque Cape Elizabeth, Maine for the TD Beach to Beacon which is celebrating the 25th running on Saturday, August 5th. While the TD Beach to Beacon 10K is an elite event for racers, drawing top athletes from around the globe, at its heart it is a local community event beloved by racers of all abilities.

The course winds along tree-lined roads and past dramatic ocean vistas before ending 6.2 miles later in Fort Williams next to Portland Head Light, the nation's first commissioned lighthouse which also happens to be the most photographed lighthouse in America.

The TDB2B10K, the largest road race in Maine, attracts over 8,000 athletes who are cheered on by thousands of spectators lining the course. The community rallies together to build a pool of volunteer's 800+ strong that support the race leading up to the event and who come out in full force on race day.

TD is proud to be a founding sponsor of this incredible annual event that celebrates health, fitness, community, and inclusion.

Watch the inspiring story behind the race and discover the moment when Olympic Gold Medalist Joan Benoit Samuelson decided to give back to the state that had given so much to her.
