TD recently conducted its inaugural Financial Preparedness Report, Consumer Index, surveying more than 5,000 U.S. adults to examine their financial challenges, savings habits, and the actions they are taking to improve their overall financial health.

The results yielded some eye-opening statistics: more than one-third of respondents don't feel they have enough savings to cover unexpected bills and one-half added they don't feel prepared for retirement.

Ashley Weeks, Wealth Strategist with TD Wealth, shares insights in the above video on some of the key findings around consumer savings, retirement planning, and home affordability as well as steps people can take to improve their overall financial well-being.
