For the third year in a row TD has been selected for the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) which distinguishes companies committed to transparency in gender reporting and advancing women’s equality. The 2019 index is comprised of 230 companies from 10 sectors headquartered across 36 countries and regions.

Bloomberg’s standardized reporting framework offers public companies the opportunity to disclose information on how they promote gender equality across four separate areas – company statistics, policies, community engagement and products and services. Companies that score above a globally-established threshold of 60 points, based on the extent of disclosures and the achievement of best-in-class statistics and policies, are included in the GEI. TD scored well above the threshold with 78.57.

"Inclusion and diversity are core values at TD and we have long emphasized their importance," said Ellen Patterson, Group Head and General Counsel and Chair of Women in Leadership, TD Bank Group.

"We’re proud to be recognized for our commitment to gender equality and women in leadership. We've made some fantastic progress over the years, though there's more work to be done."

Women leaders within TD are often celebrated as being among the most exceptional and influential in North America. TD’s Women in Leadership network, which consists of more than 11,500 colleagues across The United States and Canada, is driving development by connecting women in a variety of ways including through mentorship and leadership training.
