TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank®, has named Tyrrell Schmidt U.S. Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Global Brand. In her new role, Schmidt will lead U.S. brand and marketing strategy including product and customer marketing, customer insights and analytics, social impact, and corporate and public affairs. She will continue to lead the bank's purpose-driven brand efforts globally including overseeing its creative services and sponsorship strategies in the U.S. and Canada.

Schmidt joined TD in 2015, serving most recently as Vice President and Global Brand and Customer Experience Officer based in Toronto. During her tenure, she led the evolution of the TD brand in Canada with the introduction of the new confidence platform and led the transformation of the bank's customer experience practice and measurement system, creating alignment and consistency across North America.

Prior to joining TD, Schmidt held numerous leadership roles of increasing responsibility at several global health care and financial services companies, including Cigna, Standard Chartered Bank and Discover Card. With more than 35 years of international marketing experience, she has lived and worked in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Canada.

Schmidt is a Board member of Achilles International, where she uses her passion for running to help guide people with disabilities through marathons and half marathons. She holds an M.S. Philosophy from the International School of Management, an M.S. in Integrated Communications from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Marketing from Arizona State University.

With this change, Schmidt will now report to Greg Braca, President and CEO, TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, while continuing to report functionally to Theresa McLaughlin, Global Chief Marketing, Citizenship and Customer Experience Officer, TD Bank Group.
