Since the launch of The Ready Commitment in 2018, TD Bank has partnered with community organizations from Maine to Florida that support change, nurture progress and contribute to making the world a better, more inclusive place. From vibrant planet initiatives like TreePhilly and recognition as a green lease lender to programs that promote affordable housing, financial literacy and better health outcomes, The Ready Commitment is opening doors to a sustainable future.
Program Spotlight: High Line Honey
As part of The Ready Commitment, TD Bank served as a presenting green sponsor of the High Line in New York City, supporting all of the park's horticultural and sustainability programming including High Line Honey, an initiative that harvested 120 pounds of honey. Last summer, TD's partnership with an urban beekeeper highlighted the vital role bees play in sustaining the planet's food supply and ecosystems.
The Ready Commitment: A Look Back, and What's Next
The Ready Commitment aims to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy with a target of CDN $100b by 2030 through lending, financing, asset management and other programs.
In addition to High Line Honey, other successful projects funded by The Ready Commitment in 2018 include:
- Enhancing community gardens with educational and cultural programming in low-to-moderate income neighborhoods in Boston

- A financial literacy program for those granted early release from federal prison, staffed by Bank volunteers
- Supporting more than 160 LGBTQ2+ community initiatives and 83 Pride festivals across North America
- Funding the KIDS Mobile Medical Clinic, which provides comprehensive primary care to underserved children in Washington, D.C.
- And more
For its second year, a number of new programs are in motion for The Ready Commitment and current ones are expanding, including:
