Ad space at the TD Garden is priceless – and one Boston-area small business found that out first-hand when they were offered the most unexpected experience.

As part of TD Bank's Unexpectedly Human brand campaign, Customer SunBug Solar saw their brand take over a portion of TD Bank's ad space at the TD Garden. The solar energy company’s branding was featured throughout the arena during the February 10 Boston Bruins vs. Colorado Avalanche game on billboards, the dasher board, private suite and other spaces on the concourse.

A local company trying to make a big difference

“As a leading supplier of solar solutions in the Commonwealth, SunBug helps local businesses generate additional income and clean electricity,” said Nick d’Arbeloff, Vice President of Commercial at SunBug. “Through the financing it provides to us, TD Bank helps to support our efforts within Massachusetts' growing clean energy economy.” Hundreds of thousands of consumers in the Boston area and beyond saw the SunBug Solar ads, either at the game, on TV, or via the Bruins' social channels.

"A living example of Unexpectedly Human"

"Our goal is to provide exceptional support to our Customers, and we feel this is an exceptional opportunity to showcase a small company doing big things," said Nate Tassinari, Small Business Relationship Manager. "We are proud to be the bank of choice for SunBug Solar and all of our Small Business Customers. We understand the important role small businesses play in our local and national economies, and we’re committed to helping them grow and be successful."

SunBug’s Director of Operations Andrea Mitter-Burke was grateful for the opportunity—and the collaboration. "TD has taken the time to know our business, to know us, and it shows. It's really a living example of Unexpectedly Human."
